I suppose you could argue it's a politician statement, but I see it more as a personal one. I think people are just getting too caught up in the "burqa" part. This song is basically antithesis of "Dance in The Dark". "Aura" is about allowing yourself to be seen whereas DITD is about hiding yourself.
