Every pop star in the world has an image that is an artificial representation of their real self.
No one is completely genuine.
Look at Pepcé, her whole public image is a complete fabrication, meant for gullible people to praise and admire. Everything we ever see of her has been staged. I would say this type of audience manipulation is more reprehensible than Miley, who's dedicated herself to this character as a form of artistic expression.
