I hate when people overanalyze songs that are meant just for fun
Sometimes it can be fun to think about. Like the reading of BOMT as being really about Brinty's addictive relationship with her drug of choice. What kind of foreshadowing.

Those women aren't stopping the song from becoming the biggest hit of the year, and that's what I mean by the backlash is backfiring. Not dismissing those critics, of course.
