Not its not.
It's easy to buy a 99 cent single of a song you like and want to sing on the way to work.
It takes a little more to spend $18.99 on a full album because you don't know what to expect.
But it takes a HELL of a lot of thinking to spend $100 on seeing someone live on stage for 4 hours when you know they aren't going to make you feel like it was a good investment.
You build your brand as an entertainer by using the opportunities given to you by live television audiences. People will talk and they will talk far and loud.
Some exceed.
I mean the Queen hasnt been to Australia/New Zealand since god knows when and she sold out 17 shows back to back.
Her tour was sold out all over the world, her singles are hits all over the world, she sells albums all around the world.
.
A 3 CD greatest hits would barely suffice.
