I just really don't think Adele is a pop star That term generally has an implication of singing, dancing, costumes, etc. Pop star imo usually means the sort of image established by Madonna and Britney.

What's funny to me is how many Adele stans on here insist she is a pop star when the situation calls for it, yet in other threads will insist that she is so totally above and beyond, superior to pop music, how Adele brought "real" music to the top 40 full of "pop garbage"

Just enjoy the music... and Gaga can have higher tour grossing-endorsement but she would kill for having Adele's Album plus singles numbers.
I'm not saying gags's number aren't good, but having an album with 10M copies sold and you still be able to sell +4M singles it says a lot.

Overall I'd say Rihanna has (some) better numbers, but as a result of being in the game for way longer.

The same for Gaga if i take your word and just count 21 as Adele's breaking album, she is the most successful SINGER of our generation.

We can't deny Gaga is more than a name, it is like a cult almost a legend and if she keeps moving in a good direction she can easily be officially the new MADONNA.

And closing my post i have to say Adele is not the one who has to prove something, i think Gaga does, she needs to serve the album of the decade.

Key term that you used is generally . Pop star is not restrictive of just dancing/costumes and the mere fact that you think so is .

Why is Adele even being brought up? She's had one big era that barely even had a tour. The money that Gaga's made from her tours alone is more than Adele has made in total. This is about most successful, not just the biggest album seller.
