I don't think honest means worship as in actually give praise religiously. Admire is a better term I think. I admire Taylor and look up to her a lot but I don't worship her because I know that she's a flawed human being with many faults. That's what honest means(correct me if I'm wrong) by in a different way.
The English language is weird in the way many "religious" terms can have nonreligious meaning, many of which are based in celebrity culture and capitalism)
Idolize can be used as in worship as a god but it can also mean to adore something in a nonreligious sense. Same with worship and to do something "religiously". I don't know if that makes sense
