She won't debut at number one because the single will drop on Monday and Billboard airplay week tracking goes Thurdsay-Wednesday, so her first three days of airplay (which will probably be huge and boosted by radio deals) will be counted and will make the single debut in the lower part of the Hot 100. The week after, though, she'll have the full Monday-Sunday sales, airplay and (maybe) an audio/lyrics video and if they're smart they'll also put the single for streaming as soon as they can, so it has a chance of jumping to number one. And then she has the VMA performance which will give her a great second week. As long as the song is a hit, I don't care about #1s that much, though.

I hope the lead debuts at number one in the UK, though. She hasn't got a #1 there since 'Telephone'. The tracking there goes Sunday-Saturday, so a Monday release is fine. Are there any other big singles which are getting released that week?

No, because the sales are counted Monday-Sunday (12th-18th), and the single drops on the 19th. The airplay gets tracked Thursday-Wednesday (15th-21st).

Tinie Tempah and Ellie. Tinie is the big threat here because he has a lot of support there and the song is very good. But he wants a #1 and I'm sure he will move the release date.

Naughty Boy/Emeli is going to release that week too, I just heard. Yeah, we're ****ed
