Lmao, at people suggesting Billboard Boxscore is inaccurate. Do you have any idea what those are actually used for? They aren't for stans to "brag" about on online forums. They're for touring companies, in this case Live Nation - not Def Jam, to publish their earnings for their investors to show (sometimes they choose to keep them private, however). If they were to lie about the earnings or attendance, it would bring about a whole series of investigations and scandals of contracts violated by venues and stock holders. (NOTE: Attendance capacity is the only thing that is questionable regarding that, only because most artists have it set up where they only add seats once they've filled up the ones they've made available. This makes it very easy to manipulate the "sold out" aspect of the report, but all artists do it.)
Pollstar is an estimation marketing company that does not have access to actual data sources and must rely on their own observations, & apparently blindly speaking to managements, to make estimates. It's blantantly clear they are inaccurate in their Rihanna estimations based on what we've already seen reported and the venues & prices we are aware of on the European leg. There's nothing strange about Rihanna's team not getting back to some estimator to put into their report.
Re: Rihanna's team having something to hide: You do realize that Live Nation have reported every single date, IN ORDER, to Billboard boxscore, right? They just haven't gotten to releasing the next set of dates, which will surely come soon.
What is actually fishy is when artists choose to select only specific dates to release publicly on Billboard. A lot of groups choose to only release the best selling or highest profile ones. That's something that a certain someone mentioned here has been doing, and it's not Rihanna
So keep pretending these estimation matters, because the hard numbers will come out.

The nerve to talk about some artists not turning in their numbers when this whole thread is based on the fact that Def Scam refused to turn in all data from your fave, something they rarely do for their other artists such as Jay, Kanye but did it at least twice for this one (Last Girl On Earth anyone?). Sometimes, I wonder about some of you.
Keep bracing thin air and punching those keyboards to Pollstar. Don't forget to "stay sleepless" until they change the numbers too. I know how much you guys like those top 10s, this one just got away.

You do realize it's not Def Jam who released touring number and Rihanna team didn't refuse there was just some miscommunications.

Def Jam doesn't report the numbers, Live Nation does

Well, I guess the Rihanna fans can keep watching the straight, factual, Billboard Boxscore reports roll in, while some others can cling to their Pollstar "estimations" waiting for some of the actual receipts to come in for more than 1 in every 20 shows.
We'll all manage!

"We contact the artist representative...I personally contacted Rihanna's agent three times". Are you guys not reading the letter or what?
Pff nvm anyway. Like I said earlier the mid year report is not important, the Year end is the one that matters.

They said they got numbers directly from venues and then drew estimations from that, which is not bad. Billboard just publishes what the promoter gives them without any sort of justification. When it comes to Pollstar all the numbers must be turned in with every breakdown hence why they had Bey's date wrong and didn't even know it, usually when labels refuse to cooperate, it means some -not all- data are bad. I think where BB got it wrong was her US leg, I think the 1M per date average was wrong.
Yes and Pollstar is consistent with that. 55.6/36 = 1.54. Other reports said 1.55.
2.4 million is the average per city. Which is quite normal since she had more than one show in some cities.

That would make Pollstar actually more reliable. Which i think it is.

Not really since venues don't really have anything to do with the sales of the tickets they just host the events, while LiveNation actually sells the tickets.

Billboard gets their numbers from the venue.

Probably because the original number sent to them had Bey's name in it.
Anyway so much fuss I don't get it. It's not that serious. This is just mid report, if it turns out they were wrong, they will correct their mistake with the final report.

They better!

 wait a minute
Pollstar is saying Rihanna did 300,000 people for North America and 600K people worldwide (including 300k North America).
I guess they are very accurate right
3 Rihanna dates outside America
Stade De France 80k
Twickenham 110-120k
200k
So 100k is spread out over 30 world dates? Rihanna did 3k /show
 end thread

They are very reliable Rihanna did 3,000/ show in Europe, the stadium venues reserved her shows for a 3k sell out You are very smart!!!!!

3/60k venue = 5% sellout , Rihanna sold 5% of her stadium venues. #diamonds tour , #stadium status #beyhive winning , #taylorwinning , Rih can only do 3k/venue , #winning. Numbers dont matter

Of course she didnt make top 10. She averaged 3,000/ venue , cant you do math???
I guess you dont know much about algebra huh?
#Stadium status , 300k tickets sold in Europe total (Pollstar) , 3 dates (200k Europe tickets sold)
#winning

Who will be #9?
Topic? I wonder if they ever end up adjusting their numbers for the year-end report if they finally get the data they were lacking in the meantime.
