As for this topic, I believe it really just depends. Some people take a while, perhaps a year or so, to get over their relationship. Others move on the day after because they were not very involved. My guess is to basically take your time but try to avoid contact with the person to help you move on faster. On average, I am guessing it take a few weeks/months to give the other person closure and to sort out your feelings?
