I say celebrate... it's like any other "milestone" -- Katy breaks records all the time, we celebrate... and (usually) eventually... someone else comes and breaks hers... just the cycle of life. CELEBRATE! (Yes, I'm quite a happy, go with the flow, positive chicky, LOL)

Possibly, but I think once she snatches that spot in few days she should get a healthy gain. Her name is going to be in the news a lot more in the next coming weeks because of sightings with John and Smurfs promo. Publicity means more followers. Gaga will definitely gain when she announces a single, but I see Katy taking it right back once she announces hers

Huge news, eh! I say let's get thru this Smurfs 2 promo and then jump into some darn album stuff. OMG! I'm a patient one... but I've about had it, LOL!

Smurfs 2 isn't that far away anymore. Ideally her red carpet interviews will give us some worthwhile bits of info. Maybe we'll get a few magazine covers/stories and/or talk show appearances out of the Smurfs promo campaign?

She also had her voice heavily engineered in Firework during the final few notes, the "Shoot across the SKyyyyyyyyyyyyy" isn't real, they extended that note.
