The country airplay charts are so random though on a daily basis. You can't judge any song's performance on just a single day, because chances are, the next day it will have a big update.

hopefully the label is willing to promote a 5th single with the album no where near double platinum and selling only ~6k copies I dunno whether they'll see it as a worthwhile investment

Miranda's FTR isn't even platinum (I think about 800k??) and her singles sales have not been as strong, and she just got a fifth single. If Carrie doesn't get one, I'm gonna be so pissed....
