I actually don't get the hate for Girl At Home. Its central idea (infidelity) is just epic. From its catchy country tune hides a dilemna and story that's one of the most interesting ideas ever. And the fact that it's from the point of view of the third party makes it more unique. And it will smash on country too.

Okay so I finally caught up after being gone for most of the weekend and here's what I have to say...

-I'm going to push the rate back one more week. I hope that doesn't bother anyone but it's the easiest way to do it right now.

-I'm pretty mad about the whole EHC/Red thing too but I hope Scott and BMR knows what they're doing (although I really don't think so.) I can't see EHC smashing. I just feel bad because Red has the most potential for crossover and they're not even letting it happen. The dual release for TSOU/Mean didn't work out so well so I don't know why they're trying it again.

-I really like both Red and EHC and I didn't realize they were so disliked...especially when I see disgusting pieces of work being praised aka Girl at Home. Everything about Red is holy, including the lyrics and the analogies. The melody of it is perfect. The song is just I can see why people think that EHC is a bit bland but I happen to like it. The best part of the song is definitely the end, and it gave us a line about "pouring rain"--something that we need on every Taylor album.

-Girl at Home remains the worst released Taylor song. APGH looks like a Grammy winner next to it.

Also I had a dream last night that I was living in taylor's house (she was my sister) and saw the "Red" video, whole thing. Th video was footage from Taylor in a softball game from when she was about 10, very detailed complete scenes of her at bat and with her teamates etc. interspersed with current scenes of her singing and others of her cruising fast down the road in red maserati. Such a nonsensical video but it was awesome.
In my dream also I was extremely angry at the tabloids because they had started another ridiculous rumor about taylor and it was making her very upset.

It was odd but cool to have a dream like this because I've never had one of her before.

1) Red's lyrics are messy and its production is reminiscent of MM in the sense that it recycles what she's done in the past.

2) EHC will smash. It's airy, summery, easy for the GP to understand, and has already topped iTunes.

3) IAD is greater than both of these songs. Everyone hating it is honestly a tragedy.
