Gaga's the only popstar I've stanned for, but I was a casual fan of the other girls. She just blew the others clear out of the water for me.

She probably did absorb a lot of fans, but I think her fanbase is made up from plenty of (then) non-traditional pop fans too. Particularly rock/metal/alternative folk.

Mm maybe back in 2008 when she released The Fame. I remember people were really excited about her.

But not anymore, I think now she's been loosing fans since then, and IMO she's been non-stop declining in all departments (Album sales, singles sales, radio exposure, social media interest and popularity).

I guess, but anyone who was hardcore BTW era probably already was (if not moreso) by TFM.

Exactly my point was that BTW definitely strengthen her fanbase .. she surely had some hardcore fans by TFM but BTW did wonders for her fanbase overall... + once she releases some huge hit (her lead single will definitely be huge) she will win the casual listeners / fans etc...

Britney is/was on TV, and is currently on the charts with a random single/song.
Beyoncé is on tour, performed recently, and released new material.
Gaga is in the studio and hasn't been seen for months.

I don't think so.

The start of Gaga's career was her battling with Christina's snarky comments. While it backfired on Christina, I don't think her fans were eager to leave her for Gaga.

Britney stans were probably on board with Gaga before she blew up. She's too big and is a rival to everything Britney stands for.

I don't think Beyonce's core fans care too much for Gaga's music, but probably respect her as an artist. I mean I shouldn't have to address the vast differences between their music!
