Same Love can really hurt Macklemore's career and respect in the industry. A lot of people will stop rooting for them, if you know what I mean. I would never release that song. But they are brave for this

Once an artist crosses over into mainstream America, they tend to lose "cool points" anyway, and I don't see Macklemore having another era like this, so I don't see what's to lose here.
What cool points? He gained cool points with me! The song will/already is acclaimed for its message. We are now in a position for a song like this to smash as homophobia continues to die out. I'm sure some homophobic idiots won't like it, but they never did anyway. No other rapper was willing to release a song as direct and for this, Macklemore will GAIN respect in the hip hop industry.

And Wing$ is the 4th an it's already top 20 and will easily be another top 10 hit! Possibly their 4th consecutive #1
Shockingly Austin Mahone might actually become the next Justin Bieber. His sales are pretty good for someone that is a nobody and the song is not even out yet.

Lol atrl being dramatic again. Macklemore won't lose fans or "cool points" for Same Love, people are becoming more and more accepting everyday. Not to mention that teens (his target audience) are pretty much the most accepting demographic.
If anything I see people calling him gay because of it but besides that he'll be fine.
