Late 2009/early 2010, I believe. Basically, her dating John was a secret and her dating Taylor was really public. I don't doubt that she did date Taylor for a little while but by the end, there was an overlap.

In Us Weekly (maybe?), they do this thing where they put the lyrics to one of her songs and she writes comments about it. And they did "Ours" which we all know is about John (gap, tattoos, bad repuation,etc.) and claimed that she had written this around the time of her 20th birthday and that playing it to the person it was written about was one of the sweetest moments she can remember.

However, she was still dating Taylor at the time of her 20th birthday...he was reported to have gone to her party and bought her an expensive birthday present and they broke up shortly after her birthday in December.

We don't even know what happened, those are just speculations and guesses, so no need to turn against her when we don't even have evidence. Anyway, that happened over 3 years ago, so give her a break. She always talks about how much she changes and learns in short periods of time, so maybe she's changed and regretted doing that to him (if that even happened). I'm not mindlessly defending her or have no ability to criticize my fave, but I'm not gonna jump on the Let's-Drag-Taylor-bandwagon unless I have enough reason to.
