No, she's not even the second person to sing it. Also, a lot of Celine's songs are covers. It's All Coming Back To Me and If You Asked Me To are covers of other people's singles.

True, but the promo was much better during the HNIN era. It's like she was everywhere in 2007, literally. It was sort of a replica of the PCD era imo. Except for her solo music.

I don't remember seeing her on anything except So You Think You Can Dance. I know she was on TRL to premiere the video and the VMA pre-show, but I didn't watch either of those when they aired.

Also, I think this version of Whatever U Like I heard first at a store is better than the final version and a better video could have helped:

Jeff is a mess, Melissa has handled the Killer Love era better than Jeff would have done. With Jeff we could song leaks, 10000 pushbacks (while knowing the tracklist of HNIN) and she got forced back to PCD. Yeah ofcourse KL also became a mess but yeah I don't think Jeff would have handled it better.

The problem with Whatever U Like was that it is an urban song, PCD never gathered to urban radio and WUL was basically meant as urban song. They send it to pop radio, and those formats didn't touched it. If they would have sent it to urban radio and it would have got some support, Whatever U Like would have done much better. Beside that she had a remix with Lil Wayne on the shelve and she easily could have tried to re-used some of Chilli and Missy's part of "Straight Jack" to get an other additional remix for urban radio.

Same happened partly with Right There, Right There got fine radio support, but they only send it to the traditional pop formats, while she easily could have crossovered to urban aswell.

But that was because she just had a HUGE era with PCD, she was the leadsinger of a global phenomenon, people anticipated her. It was much easier to get her on awardshows, liveshows etc. because people actually wanted her. That is the mainly problem she has, she is not desired or wanted on most shows because she has done nothing worthy solo wise, beside the UK. Why would a show book Nicole, if they could get Bruno Mars, Rihanna or Justin Bieber? Who push the ratings far mor ethan Nicole would.

Interscope still can get her some pretty spots though, since Right There (and DHYB) still could get performed on various big shows. But yeah awardshows basically focus on what is populair or what could get them ratings, and Nicole isn't one of those categories atm.

Whatever U Like actually was an "underground" hit in Europe and possibly Australia, but they never pushed it overseas and fastly moved to Baby Love, which would do nothing in the US to begin with

I mean a new song and after that release Pretty. It's not easy to get more than 7 million views on Youtube with just 1 performance and no promo. It could really get in top 5 on iTunes US on that night if they released it.

I feel like her Promo starts good with a lead single that tends to be not the best on the album...and then subsequent singles get really patchy, irregular or random promo.

This is what it seems to me UK wise mostly.

It just really aggravates me that Supervillain and Puakenikeni were randomly released on iTunes. They were worthless. Not good single choices. Nicole could've revived her flops with other choices and promo during that time of those releases.
