Nobody in the Hive expected that. Epic is not a big kind of a movie like Iron Man to begin with. It's just not flopping like the deluded claimed.
Somebody was bragging about Epic dethroning Iron Man 3 in Mexico, like it was a big accomplishment after the later was released over a moth ago. That is why I posted that in the first place. I want Epic to do well, as much as any other member of the Hive.
Blue Sky Animation's Epic earned $14.1 million from 15 markets including Mexico ($3.5 million), Brazil ($2.5 million) and Germany ($2.3 million). These are fine figures, but still suggest that the movie will wind up being an average animated effort ($200-$250 million overseas).

It was not a comparison with IR3, it was an achievement that it was the 1st movie since IR3's release that was able to dethrone it. It's stated in the first post.
