LA Times: Britney Spears: B!TCHY SPEARS Live!
Britney Spears is known for all the outrageous costumes, controversial performances, the breakdowns, shaving her head and for the quality of the shows. Britney Spears rocked the Dodgers Stadium Last night in LA. Our special reporter reviews the concert.
Britney Spears cam on stage right on time at 8:00 PM last night at dodgers Stadium. She started the show with a video that hyped the audience with a big countdown and scenes of Britney dancing with awesome moves. The iconic "It's Britney Bitch!" turned the sold out 55 000 audience stadium go crazy. Britney started by singing Gimme More with a sexy/Strip club vibe. As she promised she wasn't lip syncing. The performance ended with a remix of Gimme More. The strip show vibe continued with multiple songs like Get Naked(I Got a plan), Twice as nice, Cold as fire, Hot as ice. then Britney disappeared and came back to perform with a very open outfit, Outrageous. Then her dancers gave her a Black leather jacket and Britney sang I Love Rock'N'Roll.
The show continued with the performance of American dream where Britney was wearing a diamond suit. The song was shortened and at the end of it Britney started singing Piece Of Me. Britney started imitating moves and images of the music video which was playing the background as backdrop. Dangerous was up next and Britney pretended to be a spy. She simulated killing a few guys before she was captured and she was attached to a machine which appeared on stage. She started singing with a surprisingly amazing voice and Britney started crying during it's performance. But then she started simulating like She was escaping and dancers wearing Ninja costumes appeared and tried to stop Britney who hit them and fought against them with amazing moves. At the end of the performance Britney escaped and the dancers were on the ground all around her. Two girls dressed extravagantly removed ferociously the diamond pants and the catsuit turned into a leotard. Britney started singing If U Seek Amy with her two extravagant dancers similarly to the Single Ladies video style but with If U Seek Amy. Britney then performed a long medley of 3 tracks from her album.
Then Britney disappeared again and came back to perform songs like "All are like (Wild Wild)', "Everybody", " Overprotected", Yes But No", "Baby One More Time", "You Drive Me (Crazy), "Oops I Did It Again" and "Lace and leather"/":Leather and fur".
Act 4 had more the In The Zone Vibe. the act started with a surprise performance of Brave New Girl, one of the less known tracks on ITZ. It was a medley with "Turn Around(And Let Me See That)". She was wearing a childish yet sexy outfit. Britney came back to sing Radar in business woman like outfit with open parts on it. Then Britney changed outfits again to perform her more Urban songs very short jeans and a white leotard. She sang multiple songs with very urban moves and Touch Of my Hand. Then Britney changed outfit to come back on stage to sing Breathe On Me on top of almost naked dancer. All the dancers were on stage and were performing a very sexy choreography almost naked similarly to the Onyx Hotel tour version of Breathe On Me. Britney changed outfits AGAIN wearing this time her outfit from the Me Against The Music video to perform it and to perform Over The Top too both with Madonna appearing on the backdrops during her parts.
Britney then changed outfit to appear almost naked again like during Breathe On Me but this time in a graceful way to perform I'm Not A Girl Not Yet A Woman and Shadow. She then climbed on one of the tours of the stage to perform the beautiful ballads Everytime and Kiss Me Baby. Then Britney came back with a ridiculous outfit to perform Freakshow and Toy Soldier. Britney added to her outfit a long cape and removed the ridiculous parts of her outfit to perform I'm A Slave 4 U in a very sexy manner. Next Britney had her her male dancers walk around the stage sexily while Britney was making extravagant moves to sing I Wanna Go and Womanizer.
Britney ended her show with the performance of 2 songs. Toxic which she wore an outfit similar to the video and wear she had a red wig. She simulated killing dancers Her voice was great and the instrumental just made the crowd go crazy. Then Britney performed her latest single B!TCHY which she performed as her alter ego, B!TCHY Spears. The end of the performance had lots of special effects like holograms of Britney dancing, Pyro effects and amazing outfits.
Britney did really great with this show and showed that she was really back. She performed her best concert of the last years and it was just amazing. The crowd was crying during most of the concert of emotion and Britney just kept giving them those amazing performances. The concert was very long: It lasted 2 Hours and 45 minutes. Britney was for sure completely tired and deserved to sleep especially that she has a performance at the MTV Video Music awards the day after.
