Never even knew there was a horror movie thread, wtf. Im so excited for The Purge & The Conjuring

I watched the original Texas Chain Saw Massacre the other night and enjoyed it. I can see why it is considered a classic, especially for the time period and all that. Not my favorite horror movie ever, but definitely good.

Then I decided to skip ahead and watch Texas Chainsaw 3D, knowing that it was going to be a direct sequel. And...yikes. I'm all for mindless, brainless slashers but eh this was pretty bad. I feel like it had some potential but a lot of it was just . That bitch just falling everywhere was so annoying and there was a whole lot of terrible dialogue and stupid things happening but oh well!

I'm curious to watch the remake. I've heard very mixed things about it.

I started wrtiting a screenplay called "Amusement" too. Guess it's time to find a new title.

I honestly think it's one of the worst movies I've personally ever seen. But that's just me. Some people here watched it and didn't think it was that bad, so I guess it's all up to personal taste. I've only seen it once a few years ago but at the time, I was appalled by it I thought it was so bad. If I go back to it now, maybe I'd ease up a bit.

I haven't yet, but I did skim through it - the good stuff doesn't happen until you're 30 minutes in.

I just watched it! Yes, the good stuff took about a half hour. It was pretty bad, all in all but it was entertaining. I don't regret watching it, it just wasn't that great haha. Pretty lame special effects but I assume it was made on a small budget in which case it wasn't so bad.

Selena Gomez has like a 45 second cameo and I'm still puzzled over it but it was funny.
