I don't have any sides in this, but seeking monetary damages is obviously par for course when bringing a civil suit. It's not like he can try to pursue criminal prosecution against a deceased person. If nothing else he'll have substantial legal fees just from bringing suit.

I have no doubt in my mind that MJ molested children at Neverland ranch.

Even still, he's been dead almost 4 years. The time has passed to be making these accusations. There's not even a living person to accuse anymore.

The FBI investigated allegations starting in 1993. They were released after his death after someone requested them. The actual files should still be on the FBI website.

You and I both know this because we've been fans for quite some time. But at this point, the damage has already been done. And I'm not just referring to this story but more so when the child molestation accusations first begin.

That's a very serious crime to commit and once one gets branded a "child molester" it's very hard, if not impossible, to shake that title off. Even after said person is proven innocent in the eyes of the law.

I've always believed Michael was innocent and nothing will ever change that. And I don't say that just because I'm a fan but because the substantial amount of evidence says otherwise.

Michael was, at times very odd, but he was also misunderstood. I just wish people would leave him the **** alone and stop coming out with these bogus stories for personal gain.

Personally I believe Michael was a bad person. But I still respect his music & I think the time has passed for this to come out and be delt with. He's dead for ****s sakes.

And in the event that it's true, you're assuming he's emotionally damaged in the first place and is suing for emotional repair. He might not be. He might be doing it for closure, for justice, for money, any combination of the four (emotional repair included) and/or any other reasons.

On another note, people sue to receive money for non-monetary incidents all the time. Let's not act like this is new to us.

No. And that basically would imply that the accusations are true.

Michael's team wanted to pay accusers off in the past but Michael was always against it and wanted to fight the claims made against him. A lot of people took advantage of him, even those close to him.
