Yep! It's great but I sort of have to ease myself into it. 4 was more immediate for me because of things like "End of Time", because tbh that's one of my favorite songs ever.

It's interesting that you didn't like B'Day originally because it wasn't very pop-adjacent, but you liked 4, which is probably her most R&B-heavy album in my opinion.

She played with sounds a lot more on Bday than on 4. 4 is safe compared to Bday.

4 had more songs to ease me in more quickly. "End of Time", "Best Thing I Never Had", the bonus tracks, etc all have strong pop influences, whereas I seem to find that less on B'Day.

B'Day and 4 are both amazing. Though nothing can compete with End of Time and Schoolin' Life so 4 wins for me.
