he's the go-to tribute man, and not only that he does great tributes. Every tribute he does stands out from everybody else because he puts his heart into it, he actually connects with the song, and shows emotions. He does tributes for legends and Presidents. A list:
Bill Clinton
Michael Jackson (3?)
Janet Jackson
Stevie Wonder
Luther Vandross
Whitney Houston
President Obama
Quincy Jones
Gene Kelly
James Brown
I lost count of the rest because there's too many lol
there are so many. The time Usher performed for Bush, Shakira, Adam and Blake were still looking for how to break into the industry.
dude people in other genre's almost killed themselves that day especially the JT fans. They are still trying till now to break that record, but they keep failing. First 20/20 was declared an R&B album, once it didn't break Usher's record it went back to being a pop album . No record has surpassed the groundbreaking song as Climax. I mean Climax single handedly changed the game for some people. All his contemporaries aren't capable of releasing a critically acclaimed song right now and that's a Fact.
The magnificent thing about Usher is that he is a reliable artist who can never be counted out as being a continuous success in the industry.
even if any of his album does mildly well, it is always guaranteed that his next release will do better.
When his first album didn't do well, My Way came out and blew everyone away. Then 8701 came out kicked everyone, then he released the monster of an album called CONFESSION and it was game over for all of them. Here I stand came out sold well but he wasn't satisfied. When people started doubting him, he released RVR with a sold out tour. Looking for myself may have flopped, but we all know that's just the ingredient to fire Usher up. His next album is gonna end the game.
His flop is another man's success.lol. We all know that the likes of Chris brown, trey, Justin Timberlake would kill to have a groundbreaking song like Climax in their hands, hell Chris would die to sell that much albums
NN I went on a couple of old forums and they were FREAKING OUT, because he pretty much destroyed everybody else, Confessions sold 8 million in one year and since then no one has been able to sell that much within the span of a year I don't know why people are convinced his career is done when his album sales have never been consistent, L4M may have flopped but his next album is going to be a monster, I even think that if he releases the right single and promotes it properly that he can do another million in a week. That's just how he's always been. My Way was massive, 8701 did great, Confessions was massive, Here I Stand underwhelmed, Raymond v Raymond was great, and L4M flopped, he's angry and in the studio at this moment getting ready to blow everyone away

I know right Looking for myself didn't do well because Usher had a lot to deal with. Plus he felt that he was already successful so why try, I mean the dude didn't even promote the album like that.

He didn't even promote the album or any of the singles that much with the exception of Scream, and it still debuted at #1, Climax was huge, Lemme See was great. He's got this, I know he does, I just can't wait for the meltdowns, I'm going to kii so much

What is one thing that surprised you about your coach, Usher?
I was surprised by how grounded and deep he was with comments and suggestions about our musical performances and life really. He delved into talking with me about my past heartbreak and was very empathetic. He was then able to help me understand how to translate those real emotions into a connected and convicted performance. Conviction was the word he and Pharrell made sure I remembered from our mentoring sessions. He gave me some great advice on how to just be yourself as an artist. To stand and shine right where you are regardless of what others are doing. And people will see that and resonate with it as long you stay genuine and sincere. I loved being surprised because it reaffirmed to me that we really don't know someone till we spend some real time with them. He's an amazing coach.
Does your coach remind you of anyone (famous or someone in your life like you mom or dad) and why?
I can honestly say I've never met anyone else like Usher. Rad dude.
I thought Shakira will win this because she had 10% more than Usher in the beginning, crazy comeback
And they claim she has more fans lmao. I can't wait for the polls to be shown on tv. The reason Usher had the lowest votes last time was because his fans didn't know of the polls, now that they know, its game over for everyone..
