It's not bad. It's quite a bit of research and writing when you get to the actual psych classes after all pre-reqs. Also, obviously quite a bit of memorizing as well. The positive side, sooner or later, everything starts running together in terms of terms and concepts
What have you chosen and what had you been considering?
I haven't really chosen anything.
I've considered Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Physics, Art History, Pathology, Anthropology, Astronomy, Marine Biology, English Literature, Linguistics, Philosophy, Interior Design, to name a few.

That's quite a range
My mind was kind of like that when deciding my major. I had people tell me to pursue Graphic Design because I was "fantastic at making graphics". I also thought about being a math major focusing on becoming a math teacher because I liked number and math had always been my favorite subject in school.
I had always been interested in psychology, but never considered it as a major until I took this Career Development test. One major/profession that was in common each area that made up myself was psychology/psychologist. It opened up my eyes, like yeah I do like helping people. I'm always there for people and I listen to whatever they have to say. I eventually went that route, but primarily focusing on children. I hope to become a School Psychologist focused on elementary and middle school aged children because to me that is the major point in our lives where we change. Especially the bitch that is puberty, making everything crazy

I took a similar test and got careers mostly related to the social sciences and the arts. But I'm still unsure.
I'm like that too, always wanting to listen to what people have to say and helping them out. But I've been kind of a mess lately, it's been me getting the help.
I could totally see you as a school psychologist or guidance counselor.

I just looked at your age, you're only 16! Enjoy your youth right now and final years of high school! Yes, you're at the time where people are pressuring you into choosing a major, prepare for college, yada yada yada. Remember this, most whom graduate high school with a set major in mind end up changing it 2 to 3 times once in college.
If anything, just declare yourself as undecided. Once in college start taking your general prereqs for an associates, while also taking other classes that pertain to those you were thinking about. Experiment with different subjects and choose which one speaks to you. Then, roll with that.
Really? I do want to be a school psychologist/guidance counselor mixture. I want to test the kids and have them talk to me

Yep, I'm definitely going to end up declaring myself undecided and then experimenting.
Tbh, I've been extremely anxious about the ENTIRE process, its been eating me alive.
Babe, you're avi has saved me from some potential WP's in that Drake vs Chris thread. I had some things to say and wanted to go in but it just didn't seem right wearing you
Not your stanning inavertedly reforming me.
I dropped a comment in there (idk if it actually went through)
honestly I love Drake, and he's in one of my faves, but CB >>

The sheer difference between the conversation in here and the one we were having in tinychat
I went straight into college KNOWING I wanted to study one thing, took two classes about it and hated it, so I switched, now I've taken three classes for another major that I've recently decided I hate as well. So my advice? Stay undecided until you get your basic classes done, it gives you more time to make a decision you'll stick with.
I'm sure other people are different but it's just such a waste of time and money to realize you don't like what you're studying...
ethan, how old are you? I always thought you were in high school, or like straight out of it I agree with you though, experiencing the classes does make a difference - at least for me. It's all about the setting and style of it, I suppose.
I assumed I'd be a big English major before college and actually went into it with that in mind, but I realize how much that is not my real passion after taking the classes. Hell no. English was my most favorite and easiest subject to excel in, but after graduating, it's like I was through with it. It's not something I want to pin a focus on in my life.
Ugh @ Matty and Zaid just loving math. I failed it a million times during high school and had to do overload junior and senior year because of it. The funny thing is, I took a mixed Algebra class my freshman year of college and loved it. It was a breeze. I blame the professor, class setting, and it's online/class mixture.
Jealous of you all who've always had a clear mindset of what they want to pursue.
Like Ethan stated, its best to do some of the basic classes in order to get a better idea what you actually want to do for the extent of college. I went from being an Engineering Major, to a Mathematics, to a Statistics, then to both Stats and Economics (which I now prefer the latter )
if anything go off your gut feeling and go from there like I did
I'll be 20 next month that's a bummer that I seem so young.
I was the same way about English -- my major right now is English Education, which is basically double majoring in English and education. English was always a breeze but taking class after class of literature analysis n shit? Hell no!
Yep, I'm definitely going to end up declaring myself undecided and then experimenting.
Tbh, I've been extremely anxious about the ENTIRE process, its been eating me alive.
And yes, it suits you so well.
Don't be anxious. College is a learning experiment to figure out yourself. You think you know yourself in high school, but in reality you better now yourself afterwards.

Math buddies!
Unless you move down from Canadia to Kansas, I remain closest to your "girl"
