Pretty much all of the performers have been past Idol contestants that no one really cares about, Idol judges, and past winners.

Like, why can't they get One Direction, Cher Lloyd, Little Mix, Rihanna, or someone that would actually stand a chance at doing well with the Idol promo.

every week you have a past idol + a star to perform on the show, it's always been like that for years.
