What makes artists interesting is them hitting that bottom and rising up again or vice versa. it's an up and down process, change is constant but the duration is totally subjective. An artist constanly "improving" is only an illusion. Hiding behind the veil of superiority is a big flaw for everyone who is seeking a life on art. That is true and you will deal.

It was definitely disappointing for most of her fans, and it was unfortunate to see so many people giving up on her, but I just know that when she will be back looking hot, in great shape, give more energy in her performances, those fans and GP will be right back to kiss her ass just like it happened with Circus era.

But she NEEDS to make that happen.

I agree .... I think an artist improves for a certain time, but then after that time everything is about ups and downs.

The fact that it sold more outside the US than 'Believe' comforts me since he's probably the biggest pop star in the world (or was at the time.) So does the fact that 'Femme Fatale' outsold it in the UK.

I think the fact that FF had still sold close to 2m WW despite the absolute disaster that she was "promoting" the era (or more like turning people away from buying the album) kinda impressive

I mean what other pop girl could get away with that? They all work like crazy, she doesn't have to do even 50% that much and she can still hang with most of them.

That's what is making me mad sometimes, she doesn't have to work nearly as hard as other girls to have success, but she chooses to do the absolute minimum. If she could just push herself a bit harder, she could be on top again

Exactly ... I think its just a perception.

I felt exactly the same during the "Blackout" era, when I started to see her album underperforming, and disappointing commercially I had like that feeling like Britney is ruining her legecy ... but that feeling disappeared when she released "Circus". . .

her legacy its not damaged its just the bad flavor left by her last era. . . its the last thing we remember of her , so with more reason she has a lot to do for her next album.
