!! That song has crazy energy. The pace is almost frantic. One of the most exciting songs Taylor has done.

#8 comes in 21 minutes! (7 EST)
Are than any sort of facts you want me to post after the #1 is revealed?
I already have: each person's average for each album, each album's total average, and how many 10s each person gave.
Let me know if there's anything else you wanna see!

8. All Too Well
8.389
"I'd Like To Be My Old Self Again, But I'm Still Trying To Find It"
#8 Scores
10: JakeKills, Ace Reject, Hunter_13, briannaisboss, castle13, Great Username, Ulrihs, Euphoria, Jdella11
9: Mezik
8: Konichiwa, ClassicMainstream, madonnas
7: Rumpelstiltskin, evan93
6: MWB
4: Carlton, tylerbv
If it's any consolation, "All Too Well" is one of only 4 songs to have occupied the #1 position at any point in time during the submissions process. I don't know about Carlton, but I'm pretty sure Tyler is just mad that you can put on a blindfold and pick any random lyric from this near-masterpiece and it's guaranteed that said lyric will be superior to anything his fave has ever or will ever sing. "All Too Well" focuses upon the memories of a relationship, both good and bad. Critics have identified lyrics such as "We dance around the kitchen in the refrigerator light" as standouts, and you can't help but wonder who else but Taylor Swift could pull off such a lyric. Critics have also praised the significance of the scarf referred to in the song, mentioned in the opening lines to foreshadow its later importance. The original "All Too Well" clocked in at 10 minutes long, and the song may well be the emotional high point of the Red Tour. As with many of Taylor's songs, this one culminates with a bridge so powerful it's the Eighth Wonder of the World. The Lord Her talent.

Mama Swift was telling us how Taylor puts her heart into every song she writes and that the most heart wrenching song she has ever written was All Too Well. This is my all time favorite song so I held on to every word being spoken. She told us that Taylor wrote All Too Well while they were still rehearsing for the Speak Now tour in 2010. Taylor came to the stage and everyone could tell she had been crying. Everyone knew she had just gone through a bad breakup but the show must go on. She picked up a guitar and began to play the opening to All Too Well. She sang bits and pieces of it and the band looked around confused because this was a song they didn’t know. Then it dawned on everyone in the room that they didn’t know the song because she was writing it right then and there. Slowly, the band began to join in with her. By the time she got to the part where it goes ‘you called me up again just to break me like a promise,’ Andrea said she was crying and screaming the words. When she was finished, Mama Swift turned to the sound guy and asked if he recorded it and he tearfully said that he did. She kept the song until the Red album because it was still too raw in 2010. http://madeofstarlite.tumblr.com/

The lyrics aren't even close to her best.

****. I think I was either too tired to function or distracted by something as I was typing that part out. Maybe both.
Ace gave it a 10 like a sane person would.

7. Blown Away
8.694
"Those Storm Clouds Gather In Her Eyes"
#7 Scores
10: JakeKills, Hunter_13, ClassicMainstream, Euphoria, tylerbv, Jdella11, evan93
9.5: Rumpelstiltskin, Ulrihs
9: briannaisboss
8: Mezik, Konichiwa, Great Username
7: Ace Reject, castle13, Carlton, MWB
6.5: madonnas
"Blown Away" is the second of the 3 songs in the rate not to receive any scores lower than 6 (the first being "Treacherous"). This Grammy winning country radio smash is the title track of Carrie's fourth studio album, and will likely be remembered as one of her greatest singles. The song describes a relationship between a daughter and her abusive father, whom she leaves to be killed by a tornado. The song dabbles in pop elements, but country radio is so far up Carrie's ass that they didn't care and some cling to the notion that "because it tells a story" it's country enough to be country. It was fun spending all of 2012 watching Carrie Underwood fail to make this song crossover; despite the initial release hype and spectacular performances at the Billboard Music Awards, American Idol, the CMAs and the Grammy Awards, the song never ever EVER managed to reach the top 10 on iTunes' all-genre charts. The song also failed to top the Billboard Country Songs chart, blocked by Taylor Swift's record-setting "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together." Now, "Blown Away" has failed to reach the top 5 in our rate and so has Carrie Underwood.

The best song in the whole rate.
Honestly better than what I thought it'd be since I figured everyone would purposefully give it low scores

It was never even released to pop. Her label was too **** to send it there, so she hardly "failed to make it cross over".

It was one of the only 3 songs in the rate to receive nothing less than a 6, so let's not act like it was sabotaged.

I was debating between giving that a 6.5 and 7. It was cute, but idk I felt like it needed an extra punch but it never happened.
