Of course, we haven't started the course yet so you can add/drop and change courses as much as you want.

I will enact a policy that you can't add/drop after 4 days into the semester/term. In the case of Term #1, the drop/add deadline is March 18, 2013.

You guys can sign up now and drop if you think it's much work later. There are no consequences for dropping the course or courses withing the first week.

Actually you can take both at the same time, you would knock off the 6 credits requirements, unless you want to wait for Trigonometry. The Algebra offered now is both Algebra I and II, with students choosing the Junior Algebra exam for I or College Algebra exam for II. Students who want to learn College Algebra will have 10 lessons instead of 5.

GUIDELINE FOR PROFESSORS:

Duration of Courses

Term starts this Friday, March 15, 2013 and ends on Friday, March 29, 2013. Final Exam goes to Sunday, March 31, 2013.

Lesson Plans

You should create 5 to 10 lesson plans with each lesson plan has a question asking the student for their opinion relating to the lesson. You should post 1 lesson plan per 2-3 days in our 14 days calendar for the term.

Teaching Format

You have three options to choose how to teach.

(1) Use the personal blogs we have on atrl, here the students can interact and discuss easily on your lesson plans.

(2) Use this thread, inform the students that you will post lesson plans on this thread so they can check.

(3) Use the PM and send each lesson plan to the students, or request me to send it for you.

Make sure there is a question at the end of each lesson plan.

Examination and Grading

I will create all the exams, Midterms and Final Exams, you are responsible for the participation questions and class assignments (5 to 10 questions, one assignment/question for each lesson).

Exams are standard. Math and Sciences are 20 questions and graded on correct/incorrect all-or-nothing scores.

Exams for Arts and most Music courses are in a format of having 1 essay question and graded on the wealth of information the student has learned and written down in the essay. The grading is subjective of course, by me or you.

Professors have the option to make your own exams if you want to, with prior approval from me.

6. Geography - fulfills General Education

7. Electronic Music - fulfills Music Education and/or Concentration Education
-will be taught by cypriotpcdfan

8. Geometry and K-Pop - fulfills General Education and/or Music and Concentration Education

9. History of Pop Music - fulfills Music and/or Concentration Education
-will be taught by J03Y


Professors will earn teaching credits for the courses taught, The students will rate their professors.

Great! You might want to take some Math courses to fulfill that 6 credits Mathematics requirement.
For General Studies, you actually get to chose your own topic and most likely chose a topic of your concentration/interest. Let's assume (by seeing your avatar you are a Beyonce fan,) you can do your General Studies on Beyonce Biography or Beyonce Musical Success or Influence or whatever and have it count as R&B credits used for Concentration Education. Or you can simply use it as a Music Education elective.

I am repeating what I said to others... you should just sign up and see if you like it, if not drop. It is intense so I wouldn't lie to you and say it's easy. But you are not stupid don't say that about yourself.
