Ciara, sis ... I appreciate the fact you're taking risks but isn't more important right now to get a hit to push the album?
I can't say I'm not worried about the album. I can understand "Sweat" being downgraded to promo single, but we can't say the same for "Sorry" and "Got Me Good" (which deserved to smash cause it snatches wigs back n forth, but whatever). I like the track, but will it pull a "Motivation" and become a hit in the US?
The production is fire, but that's not an instant hit. Well, at least to me. Hopefully radios will pick it up and show everyone this girl deserves much more attention.
its anything but. its a classic.. has such a vibe its unreal. last modern rnb song to do this was Motivation..
if the label refuse to push this they are pathetic. but somethings telling me that this is going to blow up... . ciara more than deserves it she works her ass off to bring fresh, innovative music. its such a shame she just has gone unnoticed for so long.
Gimme Dat and Ride were modern day classics. as was Like A Surgeon, Work..
what i love from Ciara is she has her own distinctive sound. and she works hard in evolving it..
Its a shame artists like Rihanna, Beyonce, refuse to grow, and make songs EVERYONE else could of sang.
i mean no shade but its true.. their music sounds like polished Demo's.. I mean Irreplaceable was from Neyo. Stay was written for Pink.. If I was A Boy was that country girls song. Umbrella - shipped around to many artists before Riri.. Major Lazers sample on Run The World was sampled by MANY artists before beyonce, and We Found Love was shipped around to many artists again. as a music listener i hate that.. theres no signature SOUND creation.. ORIGINALITY..
that why i refuse to read things like boring, or flop. this is the music that SHOULD sell. its fresh, classic, innovative all at the same time. the music industry really is in dire shape.
If Anita Baker can get a radio deal, why can't L.A Reid get one for Ciara?
I'm really hoping they will. Billboard premiered it and even gave a release date for the album, tons of blogs have wrote about it, and Sony tweeted about it as well.
This needs a radio deal, starting tomorrow. And it needs to be on iTunes tomorrow. They NEED to get it right.
The way Urban will play this a lot is if it's FORCED down their throats. THAT'S WHY a radio deal to launch the song on Urban radio would be very beneficial. CLEARLY they're apprehensive to play her stuff in heavy rotation for some odd reason.
