The FF cover is actually one of her best covers of her career (Given the fact all of her covers are pretty basic of course)... but despite being a nice cover is not appropiate commercially, Britney Spears is a guilty pleasure, and a really cute extremely girly, pinky feminine cover like FF's does not help at all with that situation, a lot of people probably felt uncomfortable buying the album and walking through the entire store with that pinky cover in their hands.
So I agree with you a cover does more for an album than one can imagine, and definately FF could've sold more with a more aggressive mature cover, I hope she doesn't repeat the same mistake again for her next album, she needs to stop it with those "sweet covers" she needs an edgy artistic cover.

And about the
Madonna Salary, well even if its just based in the US she basically received the same amount that Britney will receive for her future shows in US, and that was my point its cool I mean almost the same payment of freaking living legend
Madonna and judging by the list and all the artists' salaries last year,
$30M would make Britney into the top 2 highest paid musicians overall of 2013, its a nice salary for just a number of north american shows.
and $30M is her salary for her shows in the US, we still don't know if she is going to add international dates after the Vegas thing ends. (probably not).
