There's a reason Your Love, Moment 4 Life, etc excelled on Pink Friday. Were those basic ass pop songs? No. They were relatable to the masses.
Focus on the CONTENT not the instrumental. |
Honey you can calm the hell down acting like you know what Nicki songs I like. I DONT LIKE PFRR as a WHOLE. I dont even like the rap songs, because the bragging IS basic, just as basic as the ****** ass RedOne tracks. If you actually would have paid attention to my previous posts I said I want the Pink Print to tell STORIES. NOT bragging. Okay? So pay attention bitch. Plus I love and adore M4L, Your Love, Super Bass, VVV, etc. but most of PF:RR was so basic and disgusting. Sorry bout it, but thats my opinion. And if you knew ANYTHING about me, youd know I listen to a very wide variety of genres, including country, rap, electronic, POP , 90s alternative, 80s hair metal, etc. All im saying is, I dont give a **** if Nicki gets a number 1. If she has to do basic ****** ass songs to get a number 1, then thats sad. And its sad that yall would support an atrist to do that. Bye.

I didn't intend to "jump all over" your post - in my initial response, I even started as "some of you" meaning you aren't the only one I've seen say stuff like that.
Again, I only did because that specific post seemed like you automatically deemed all of Nicki's pop music to be bad.
Why are you asking me about Starships, PTA and Automatic? I also said in my original response that those ARE basic.
Beautiful Sinner tells the story of Nicki and a man she knows is bad for her. Marilyn Monroe tells the story of Nicki's inner struggles. Young Forever tells the story of Nicki and a love she can't let go. Va Va Voom tells the story of Nicki longing for a man she'll never have.
Hell, to be honest, Starships could even be seen as a story of rebellion and letting go of all your worries and responsibilities for a night (let's get away, they say what they wanna say, imma blow all my money and don't give two *****, ain't paying my rent, i owe that).

Clock, except Pound the alarm is good. It's like a great basic song so I hate it being in a bad category.
Starships should have never existed and Pound the alarm should have been the first single. 1/2 the backlash
