The intro was amazing, but I felt underwhelmed at the end. Her body and everything was on point, disappointed in no new single. The Superbowl is the most watched event, that is a huge promotional platform and she blew it.
It was a very good performance. Her energy was on POINT, she had clearly rehearsed, her vocals were good (not spectacular though, she's not an amazing singer, but you could tell she worked hard at it even if she couldn't quite pull off the power notes she was going for at times).
The stage was very good even if it was mostly static looking except for that small square where she danced on.
All in all it was GOOD, better than Janet's, and she performed better than Madonna, but I was more entertained by Madge's because she gets it more when it comes to creativity and staging an event like this.
And the final part with Halo with her trying to have her "Purple Rain" moment fell COMPLETELY flat because Halo is a God-awful piece of tripe while Purple Rain (or Like a Prayer for that matter) are masterpieces.
It was the music, like it usually does, and her lack of creativity (she reused several concepts she had already done, didn't switch up the choreography at all for a lot of songs, the outfits were STALE and totally boring) that brought it down. Still GOOD, but not SPECTACULAR. The end felt pretty anti-climatic as well.
