It just kind of... sucks to me. I wouldn't skip it if it came on, but I wouldn't go searching for it either.

Poppin Love Cocktail is in the trinity. It might actually be my favorite.

Sounds kind of hollow, but I do like it nonetheless, if only for the bridge.
unfortunately, i was ill today and wasn't able to attend school. so i did what anyone else would do and used the time to do something good, fruitful, and productive—listen to koda kumi's JAPONESQUE (courtesy of britneyfan09's recommendation). if you care to see what i think about it check below:

listening to 'poppin love cocktail' was a somewhat anointing experience.

Understandable. I've felt that way, too. That beat just knocks. Truthfully, most of your fives are my fives.
Mr. Children has some great music and more people on this forum should try listening to things with guitars that aren't by pop divas or R&B stars.
You may wrongfully perceive me as a shallow person like that, but I actually listened to Mr. Children's new album when it came out. It was okay, but long gone are the times when they produced legit good stuff like Owarinaki Tabi or Hana Memento Mori. I only really started digging into J-pop about two years ago, before that I was only familiar with Hikki's music. Not everybody is such an J-Pop expert as yourself, so instead of always holding that against me or us, you could also share your knowledge and give some commendations for good J-pop music that is not an R&B star or a pop diva.
