It's Justin though, everything he releases will be polarazing. If My Love was released now, it'll be "The song is too slow", "There's too many weird sounds in there", "An R&B song won't be a hit today", "T.I.'s verse is too long, he'll make the song flop", etc.
If What Goes Around was released today everybody would be complaining that it's "dated" or "not enough synths", or "too slow for pop radio", and so on.
The only way he could release something not polarizing is to release a dance-pop song, and he'll never do that (thankfully). He's not really an artist that would be popular on ATRL.
I do think he'll release another single before the album though, unless Suit & Tie is huge.
