R&B has been dying since WAY before this rule change But seeing how the change pretty much eliminates ALL possibilities R&B records had of hitting the top of their charts, this just helps to solidify it's death. Anyone can recognize how incredibly ridiculous the new rule is, it goes beyond being "pressed" over Riri Maja~ The navy is just No one is trying to discredit Rihanna, this would be just as ridiculous had it been any other mainstream song topping the chart. Clearly a song by a pop singer, that's getting played on top 40 stations as well as urban stations, hot ac, etc. as well as being performed on mainstream platforms, etc. Is going to have higher sales than songs that are spun and supported SOLELY by urban radio. Diamonds clearly isn't R&B and you know you know that. Y'all need to step outside of your stan world.
The fact that Diamonds is about to break an ALL TIME record for most weeks atop the R&B chart when it's still not even charting top 10 on urban radio pretty much speaks for itself

She has already stated why these songs don't have massive sales. Is it hard to understand that a song which is top 3 on pop radio definitely will be selling more than the one which is ony getting played on urban format? This is why new rules mess up the chart.

I don't wanna argue but I agree that Diamonds isn't an R&B song. They should've not brought in sales with the Genre charts. We have the Hot 100 for that.
