Definitely. She played the album for Interscope in like July 2012 but didn't said anything how did the meeting go. They made her redo it probably.

Does anyone remember one of Gaga's DJs or something responding to a fan saying that ARTPOP was really amazing and futuristic and then mentioned 2013? And then everyone said it was because 2013 was the future, so that's what it sounded like?

Nothing happened, she just changed her mind.
They had a single ready for last September with an album in November, but Gaga changed her mind last minute and decided to wait until the new year. Then she planned on a "before Spring release" and once again changed her mind because she wanted to wait for the tour to end. Now we are most likely getting an album in the summer. Gaga will finish the tour in March, spend a month or so finishing the album, editing her movie, filming videos, photoshoots, and then setting up promotion before the first single drops. Her big comeback will be during the 2013 VMAs.
Yes, it seems like a long time, and it is, but if this means she's getting her **** together and things won't **** up like they did with BTW, then it will be worth it. BTW suffered because Judas flopped and their plans were turned upside down. Gaga is waiting for the BTW era to end before she moves on with fresh, new plans with ARTPOP.
Edit: interscope liked what Gaga played them and interscope does not tell Gaga what to record, lmao. Gaga is just, like she said, taking her time.

OMG sis, I was JUST thinking something similar 
Mine was how they said ARTPOP was going to sound like something futuristic from 2013 (that was when we still thought ARTPOP would be released in 2012), which means they were going to start new trends.

I remember that lol. I think it was a sound technician or something who said it, & everyone assumed he meant it was inspired by the future... Only to find out he literally meant it will sound like 2013 because thats when it'll be released.

I know about the 8,2 m from last year IFPI's report but counting all the certifications and known sales we don't even come close to it. 7,5 million seemed a stretch to me

He only gets tea when its close to release. Which is why he always leaks info only a couple weeks prior to release. He did say he heard 3 songs off ARTPOP and liked them all more than btw songs.
