If the singles did not sell it's due to their low quality (Judas + Y&I) and don't give me the US figures Y&I flopped everywhere else and notably in Europe.
And when the songs were good (TEOG and MTN) she decided to let that bloated ego of hers by then take the reigns and exclude any different artistical opinion from hers to direct her videos. A shame when you consider what she delivered during the fame eras or even for BTW the single...

The ego BS needs to stop.
What happened with Kahn was simply a misunderstanding. Kahn wanted one thing and Gaga wanted another. Neither were willing to compromise and there was no time to refilm so Gaga had to use footage she and Kahn had already shot for the original video, for the final version. What you see in the final video is actually part of the original version everyone wanted so badly. The footage was going to be combined with other footage with bigger scenes, but since they didn't get to film said scenes, things changed. Did you even see kahn's tweets? His "my vision or no vision" tweets? Why would Gaga even want to work with that?
Gaga originally wanted Francis Lawrence for Judas but he fell through last minute. Gaga decided to direct it with boomkack because of time constraints.
After the debacle with Kahn, gaga decided to direct Y&I and MTN to avoid any further altercations.
It has nothing to do with her ego. Guess who directed the FAME film? STEVEN KLEIN AND STEVEN KLEIN ALONE. She does not have an ego problem, she has a trust problem.
BTW suffered from horrible planning. Things were initially planned perfectly but as time went on and things changed, gaga and her team were thrown off their path and had to just go with the flow.
The odds of this happening again are slim, and the longer Gaga waits to release, the longer she has time to plan. Stop letting haters like Nicole spoon feed you that ego BS.
