But what if it actually doesn't sound good enough to be a single?I don't think "Burqa" is that offensive. I mean sure people will exaggerate it because it's Gaga. But she has some positive things to say about what she saw there too.

The first single will do at least decently no matter what and in March/April/May there are lots of high-profile promo spots for the album/lead single, btw. It's better to put the movie out a little after the album so that it can boost longevity and promote the current single, since summer TV promo is rarely very effective. This assuming the album will come out between mid-April/mid-June.

The only problem would be the tour: 2013 would be too soon, and by 2014 the album might be dead so we would have a BTWB repeat (the tour was massive, but having a single out would have helped her doing even better numbers, especially in South America and some parts of Europe).
