BA would have done okay on Pop, but imo GG would have done even better there! It's a great uptempo track and Mainstream radio eats up **** like that it wouldn't even have needed a remix cause it isn't exactly that much country sounding!

You would think that her and her label would want another Before He Cheats sized hit. Her songs don't even need to be remixed, especially her latest singles. Her songs aren't that country for Pop listeners.

Exactly sis, a lot of her material on BA is not actually very country, she wanted to experiment with the mainstream sound and she did a great job (Good Girl, Blown Away, See You Again, One Way Ticket!)

The funny thing is that those are the best songs on the album along with Two Black Cadillacs and could have gotten her more album sales.

Do you really think One Way Ticket is more mainstream? I know it's very lighthearted and silly, but I feel like it still learns more towards country.

I don't think I'll ever get over See You Again not being an AC/HAC #1.

OWT is hard to be classified into a genre, imo it's not country but yeah, it's not mainstream either. Still, it has that fun vibe ala Xtina's Red Hot Kinda Love that would attract alot of sales.
