No. A perfume doesn't become the best selling perfume of the holiday season just because of a fanbase. A perfume is an easy thing for the general public to digest, especially for someone like Gaga, hence why it's been a success.
Plus, I'm not worried about the film. Gaga's adjusted herself to the general public, or at least she's trying to, look at her style now. She's making an effort to be pretty, and she's becoming less outlandish. She knows what she's doing.
