It's a classic though so obviously ATRL are gonna have heard it. The acclaim shows it's regarded a great song by most people so hence the votes. Just accept people are voting it because they prefer it.

Being a classic means you're likely to hear it and this is a forum of music lovers so I'd find it hard to believe most people haven't heard SLTS. Just accept the better song is winning

Still, no. This site is 95% about pop music. Accept the fact people are only voting for it to look like they have a more interesting repertoire of music. While there are people that have heard it, there are plenty that haven't.

are we talking about some indie underground cult song here? Smells Like Teen Spirit is a widely known song, its more known than We Found Love. People in their 30s and 40s still live on this earth, just because its not a recent hit like Rihannas doesnt mean anything.

For the amount of teenagers from this generation that dont care about Nirvanas song, there are still people in their mid 30s and above who dont care about Rihannas song.
