We go over like one chapter and then stop. My point is that alot of people are always sticking their head out for Black people while other races are ignored.

Because black people have it the worst.

I see you have no problem when other races are targeted like so. Only supporting your own cause tbh.

That was my same reaction when you said I was disgusting for saying black figures aren't being taught in school as much as whites in history. So let's not, and good riddance you already showed your ass in this thread before. So stop acting as if all of a sudden now you care so much about minorities receiving so called special attention and being representd in history. Yet in the same breath call me playing the victim and jumping to conclusions that I don't care for the representation of asians. ignorance is a bliss for you.

Dude I may have reworded my sentence wrong. Of course there isnt as much African American history learn in class, but its not like we don't learn any at all. Also I think we should recognize that we don't base our curriculum on race, but events that are important aka slavery and the civil rights movement.

Okay i'm being a victim and complaining for not having as much black figures learned about compared to whites. Yet you wanna make statements like this:
"Yet you still ignore the fact that Asian American history is neglected. "
And what about your statements towards iHypeMusic about old history. Your nothing but a walking contradiction. Plus there have been plenty of moments other wise than slavery, and th end of segregation. That blacks have done that helped shape this country for the better

And if you actually read the comments I replied to, you will see what that poster allen said was ignorant/racist. No if ands or buts about it. Your the one that needs to wake up, and stop acting as if I call everyone on this board racist. When I only applied that term to like what one poster in this thread. What's your issues for only seeing what you want to see instead of looking at the full picture.

oh so you're going to drag me for only seeing what i want to see?
well what i see is someone looking for a racist. and no, in fact i'm not. you'd have known that if you saw "RIHANNA" in my signature. no i'm not a racist i have African American friends, i support the African American community and civil rights, Martin Luther King is also one of my idols. yet i can still see a person who wants to crucify someone for stating their own opinions, which aren't incorrect mind you.
you have good intentions, but you're saying them accusingly and at this point willing to point fingers at anyone who tries, just like with me. you need to calm down before you say something you'll regret and wrongfully accuse someone of something they're not.
now, for what Allen said, again it's not incorrect, though the way it was said made it come off the way you reacted to it. slavery is a terrible thing, and it's a topic that deserves to be discussed when it's appropriate, and it most definitely needs to be taught in schools, it's history that's only fair. but many African Americans bring it up as a social problem and use it as an excuse to persecute white people for their problems as if any person today is responsible for it. half the African Americans today haven't even been slaves, they were only related to them. yes, slavery is bad, but it's a part of history now. treat it as such and respect it. African Americans went through so much during that time to get past it and move on from it, i don't think they'd want people lingering on it as if it's still an issue when it's so not. it's only honoring them if you just stop looking at like it's a problem we're facing today. we're not. we're facing discrimination those are two completely different things while related to a similar base. and it's not even a majority of people that discriminate so you can't even use that as an excuse.
now i don't know if you're going to read all of this, but if you do please try to understand there might be more to what someone actually posts, please. and please don't write a response with full blown hatred, that is seriously the vibe i'm getting from you.

My posts aren't hatred, i'm not gonna stand back and allow allen to make such ignorant statements like that at all. I don't think your racist and read every word and point that you made. But i'm sorry if you see my passionate words towards allen as some form of hatred, or being one sided. You might be a little bit mistaken, allen is racist as all hell. I have dealt with his types before and he meant every single word he so foolishly typed. I also don't personally care what type of groups you donate your time to, which artists you like and who is your idol. As you can still be racist and do all those things with black ppl, again im not trying to accuse you of being racist. But you really need to understand that it's not hatred or me being close minded, it's me seeing between the lines of who he really is. And that's him being racist, and i'm still going to linger on slavery it's integral to history and it shouldn't be forgotten. We don't have to get over it like the jews for the holocaust etc....

o_o. My point to that statement is that the only thing always brought up in ATRL is the Black issue while other races are often neglected. And show me those statements if you don't mind because I dont know which one you're talking about. But in our curriculum we want to learn the most key events in the little time we have and you would agree those key events are slavery and the civil rights movement. Of course there are other things we should learn, but you can't fit everything in during our time in school. Also I find it ironic how you are quick to jump on my statements when iHypeMusic made pretty strange statements as well.
Such as blaming today's white people on people from the past.

Umm we have school for 12 years, they can fit in a little bit more about minority history. Yes we should learn about keye events, but let's not act as if these minority events are any less important than the more european ones. And of course the black issues in atrl are brought up because they are real life issues and other posters are not just gonna lay back and stay silent about it. If you want more issues about asians brought up, then you make posts about them. Don't accuse me of being neglectful or not caring for the plight of asians, when I always talk about in my day to day life, on other message boards etc..... the plights of all minorities (asians included). I only focused on the plight of blacks in this thread due to the video you posted, alan's statements, and comments in other threads.

Ok. As I said before I meant that video for all races though. And you're right we should expand what we learn in history. I always thought we should learn more about world history as well . I just like to point out that we aren't that different so I don't want to cause like a feud ._.

The comments in this thread is disgusting. I'm white, so I guess I'm a "racist." Yeah.. okay. I wasn't raised like that and ANYONE can be a racist.
For starters, if you want to fight racism then stop STEREOTYPING and stop creating a thread about race all the time because it will get messy like this thread. Racism will never truly go away because unfortunately some people out there still teach it and you have racist groups like the KKK.

Well im sorry for dragging you like that, alan just pissed me off and brought back memories where I ahd to deal with racist situations like that. PLus johnny lightning's trolling behind, amde it on and poppin for me. I just saw the video and thought that it was only applied to blacks and the main discussion int his thread was on blacks and whites relations. I don't want you to get the impression, I only care about my race because I don't. That's never been my style.

Yeah you're right, I just made this thread though because its never been done. Actually we went a bit off topic as well so the question wasn't disgusted as much as it should have been .
