But it fit the theme and I thought that was the point?

now I feel bad that I ruined your plan

I think if songs were only to fit the theme, then the task would have simply been "make a playlist for a night out". but since the judges were brought into this, I thought it was obvious that the songs had to appeal to us to a certain extent - which doesn't mean you should have submitted only stuff from our faves, new stuff was fine, just a bit more risky.

I'm just going to give up trying to impress Anna. I tried to think out of the box with the theme I was given for her and gave a playlist of empowering break up songs. Next time I'll send nothing but Pierce the Veil and Lana Del Rey songs which are depressing as hell and match the theme to the T.

your theme was songs for me after I got dumped. for me, that is a sad situation, and I explained for each song why I thought it didn't quite apply. the others' scores didn't have anything to do with whether they sent in Lana or PTV. there were songs I had never heard and they got good scores if they fit the theme and my taste.

to be honest,I thought that i will flopped this round, because after i make a playlist for Dylan, i kinda search it based on my music that i know and to my itunes (because i thought i submit it late, so i'm rushing just to make the playlist )

Four, did you even listen to the songs I gave you? All you did was say, "Ok, I don't know this" and give it a damn two. What kind of judging is that? And even if I knew about your twitter, I still wouldn't send you songs from all your faves. I'm just not into generic **** from pop girls. It all sounds the same to me and they all have the same damn point of views. The only female pop artists I actively listen to and enjoy are Rihanna and Lady Gaga. I'm not going to sell myself short just to make you happy. I gave you my favorite playlist and you didn't even give it a chance. I would NOT be surprised if you don't return as a judge for all-stars.

I want to say thanks to Anna and Ray for the fair scores they gave me. Dylan's were alright, but you should really get into "Heartbeats". It fits the theme and it is truly one of my favorite songs ever.

I'm surprised I came in 4th out of 9 people. But I guess I'll be packing my bags.

Stevie, I get where you're coming from. your taste is different and that's what I personally like about you, because it brings something interesting to the game. I also think you had a great approach to this round, not playing it safe and wanting to incorporate your own taste to present something new to the judges. sadly not everyone saw it that way, but please don't let that discourage you. you're a great player and like Adrian said, don't lose your fighting spirit!
