It used to be 55% airplay, 40% sales and 5% passive streaming (AOL & Yahoo).
How it's divided up now is uncertain, but the order of influence is sales, radio, on-demand streaming (Spotify, Rhapsody) and passive streaming. It's been hard to notice that sales is now the larger influence because of certain songs getting to an overplayed point versus competition, therefore sales being the biggest becomes irrelevant.
Either way "S&S" should enter Top 10 soon. I hadn't checked Spotify in a while, but pleasantly surprised to see it Top 30 and moving up.
Concerning Kaylah and her continuous melancholy, Britney can still get a #1. Every week of Billboard Hot 100 is limited to that week. It would take some release strategies, but it is not impossible.
There's such drama concerning this song's success in the Base, it's ridiculous.
I loved BOMT but (You Drive Me) Crazy (Stop Remix) was perfection. The video, her confidence, her dancing.
Oops, the video and the vma performance made a stan.
Feeling so old right now.
Yeah, Baby one more time was cute and I liked it but I was trying to be cool and not like it. I knew there was something about Britney. Then she came with sometimes and I was like, okay Britney you are making it hard for me to pretend to not like you.
She came with the making of the video of crazy...it was over. I said eff what you all thought I am stanning for Britney and can't nobody stop me.
I just remember being bored one summer day watching the video with some sort of reese peanut butter cup but they were in the shape of whopper balls. I don't know if they still have it but I saw her dance moves, her personality and her amazing looks/body and I could barely get up. That one line where she says "...Taaaaaaaaiilll meeeehhhh, your so into meeee." I was already bent over and she officially violated me with that one line. The catch was that I was taking a three week vacation out of town so I think this actually premiered like late July/early april and I taped it on VHS so that when i came back I could play it. I had the whole episode memorized while i was on vacation and when I returned that is when I bought BOMT in late August 1999 as I mentioned yesterday. Memories
You drive me crazy is a slept on classic song wise, video wise and dance wise.
I don't care what you all say...Crazy still sounds fresh today. Pop off
Get into this: highlights (well, the entire video). Eargasm from 1:02-1:09
Now I MUST look at ALL of her making the videos again
Let's start with what turned me into a stan
How in the world is IKYWT still getting +2 mill updates when the rest of the songs are getting so-so updates. I guess the radio really loves Taylor. Anyways not too bad of an update.

Exactly.
She can still get a #1, the release would just have to be planned smartly. Like for example, if she had a big radio deal, the video out before/during the release week of the song and even a promo performance she could possibly do it. Ever since the 'Boyfriend' situation (where it was competing against a monster) people seem to think that it can't happen..................

She doesn't have to get it in its debut week either. With the right promo, she could get a #1 single with good longevity.
