not really. 2005 brought much more diversity in music. The Killers, Mary J, Gwen, KellyClarkson, BEP. The urban trend was still there for sure but no where near as strong as 2003/04.
And yes it is. Even stefani herself has said plenty of times it's a dance record. Sure it's not house music but it is still Electronic/dance influenced.

What? Mary J is urban, The Bep were urban back then, and Most of Gwen's singles that did well were urban. The only real electronic song she did during that time was a huge flop. Madonnas single flopped. Radio was not here for dance music back then.
Don't forget 2005 was dominated by Mariah Carey that year and Ciara. Add in Gwen's urban singles, the BEP, and the PCD, and all the other R&b singers like Bobby Valentino, Mario, Mary J Blige, etc and I don't see how it can be denied
People like the killers and Kelly existed yes, but there were always rock songs to balance things out. The year before had Ashlee Simpson and switchfoot for instance. Nothing unusual about that
And If you consider Hollaback Girl "dance" then basically all those hip hop songs from that period should be credited as dance too. So HG wouldn't have done anything unusual. But one thing is for certain, it was not electronically infleinced
