Born This Way wasn't a flop nor an underperformance. The singles may not have done that well, but 7-8 million albums sold is huge. Barely anyone can pull half those numbers, minus Adele. The only 2 people that outperformed her were Adele and possibly Michael Buble.
The album and tour did amazingly and the singles did okay.
Sistrens dont act like you never had a meltdown during the btw era. I mean its far from being a success. Its not exactly a flop but if you classify things black and white, btw is on the flop side
Then ARTPOP is 100% gonna be a flop, because there's no way it's doing better.
If she debuts with anything less than 400k then there's going to be topics like "Is Gaga over?" "Gaga flops; debuts with 300k", "Why didn't Gaga last?" etc.
