Saying she shouldn’t promote there because she’ll get slammed for lipping is dumb, since they drag Cheryl, the nation's sweetheart, for lipping, even though she dances her ass off every single time. Britney was slammed for the “Womanizer” performance at The X Factor by the British press, yet the era did amazingly. “Circus” became her fourth biggest album there, “Womanizer” her fourth, “Circus” her twelfth, and “If U Seek Amy” her twentieth biggest single. She sold nearly 140k tickets as soon as they went on sale and set a record at The O2 Arena.
She just needs to promote there. They respond to promotion. Katy couldn’t perform to save her life and she comes across as mentally challenged in interviews yet she does well. You’re all underestimating promotion. People just need to know she has new material out.
