I didn't. She's been in my current girls trinity (with the two Quens B) for a year or two now though. But I don't think I'm acting outside of my jurisdiction as a mod when I say that the Taylor comparisons are silly, trollish and super off-topic, which is grounds for closing this thread.

Taylor's sales are impressive, obviously, and so are Rihanna's. It's just pathetic to see the haters pounce on ANYTHING that looks even slightly disappointing in Rih's career. Unapologetic's first week sales are, at worst, acceptable.

This is a good opening for the level of promotion. And we know Rihanna is a long term seller. Something that is disappointing tho is the disproportionate amount of single success in relation to album success. Oh well.

Well its too soon to tell but TTT was barely more global then Speak Now and that was Taylor's flop album. We will see whether Red is more succesful then Unapologetic. I do think it is closer than you think it is.

But she sells more globally because most of what Rihanna did outside US came from UK. Even the argument that Rihanna did not have full week has little merit as "Red" was not even released in lots of countries the first 7 days.

Some kind of talks about the past about "Loud" and "Speak Now" are pointless. Its clear that "Red" is an album that appeals more WW with its more of a pure pop sound.

I guess The Lord should have priced her album 50 bucks or something in hopes of getting lousier sales in US so that she can finally be global.
