The sounds of Will.I.Am returns today with a dope new track called “Scream & Shout”. The track finds the Black Eye Peas member linking up with pop star, Britney Spears, for the infectious number. “Scream & Shout” is a pure electro dance track that finds the duo pairing up for a hyperactive, party track that will have you dancing in the living room, club, bathroom, or wherever you may be.
The track is driven by a dope synth guitar of sorts that gets backed up by some hard hitting, club like beat that screams and shouts ‘party your ass off’. Check out “Scream & Shout” after the jump and let us know what you think.

4 Stars (4/5)
Scream and Shout" is unlikely to go down as a major release in the recording history of either will.i.am or Britney Spears, but as an early Christmas gift to pop fans, it works well.
Britney Spears plays with an accent, and will.i.am shows once again he is supremely talented at coming up with a catchy beat and melody line. The single is being promoted as a lead-in to the long delayed #willpower album project by will.i.am. Sales and airplay should be strong and generate attention.
Pros
Use of the "Gimme More" vocal sample
Irresistibly catchy hook and melody
Seamless use of digital studio effects
Cons
All very light and almost inconsequential

As Britney Spears says in the song's intro, when you hear this track, you will want to turn it up. Some pop fans will undoubtedly be turned off by the amount of digital processing here, but this is will.i.am at his studio best. It is a catchy little electronic pop dance track that will insinuate its way into your brain almost immediately. The digital effects are seamless and the use of modulations of Britney Spears' voice to build the chorus sounds perfectly natural in this context.
It is anyone's guess why she chooses to adopt a bit of a British accent in the intro, but it does seem to work.
Britney Spears fans are likely to shout with joy in the club when hearing the "Britney, bitch" excerpt from her comeback
single "Gimme More" off the now classic album Blackout. It is seamlessly woven into the track, but remains one of the most distinctive moments of her career. The spacey, free form bridge is beautiful despite will.i.am's singing talent limitations.
Even though he has found massive success with Black Eyed Peas and as a featured artist, will.i.am is still looking for his first major hit single in the US as a lead solo act. In the UK he has landed three songs in the top 5 on the pop singles chart. With the star power of Britney Spears on the new record and a video introduction on X Factor, it looks like will.i.am may just have his breakthrough in time for Christmas 2012.
