Doll, I'm not underestimating Adele. IMO.
My point was that Adele is on top of the world. Will have the #1 album for two years in a row. people were counting on her achieving and breaking Katy's record for straight #1s because she is on top. to think that she will be so dominant that Britney couldn't manage one week at #1 is ridiculous. Even that big from x factor who was slaying couldn't block everyone.
Adele will most likely break Britney's 1.3M debut sales week but it isn't realistic to think she will secure 300k+ sales to block everyone that releases during the entire 4th quarter.
I know Adele's accomplishments but that doesn't mean that Adele will be #1 for 12 straight weeks. Like usual all Britney needs is 1 week and her team has done an amazing job at releasing at the right time.
I think her team knows that FF spoke volumes. Did brand Britney survive? Absolutely. Did she score two #1 hits and top 10s...absolutely. but her doing that absolute least did show its affect in tour sales and album sales and I think they understand that it was the last time they could get away with such minimal effort.
She's got the lawsuits out the way, she's gained alot of her confidence back. she will be married and I believe she will promote more. They are using x factor as a tool to show that she is not the crazy that middle america might think she is even after being good for 5 years. She is 30 and they are trying to transition her into slightly more adult direction. Even her outfits are more age appropriate. They are marketing her as a pop icon/legend and she will not be the oversexed pop princess that she once was.
That said, she most likely will do another season of x factor, she will use x factor to promote her record and she will promote more than she did during FF. That was a wake up call because they know that they could have made way more money if they handled that era right.
I bet her music is going to evolve drastically. She will have her classic pop tunes but in a more mature direction.
I believe No one is here for her doing another season of X Factor... Anyway, I'm not here.
I hope she can get at least a number one album, because with the flop sales we will at lest be able to claim it reached #1
I really hope Britney's team has seen they cannot get away with so much half-asses efforts...
If she released in late November/December next year, she'd obviously perform on X Factor live shows so questioning some form of big promo is silly.
Trust, they will not let her release outside of the 4th quarter.
I wouldn't mind a December release. December 2, 2013 is a monday. During this time of the year artist release on Mondays to get full 7 days of sales (think Black friday week, Tswift).
to me, they know that they have to promote and by this time next year all of the lawsuits will be done and she might be out of her conservatorship. She will be married and will have new confidence that she is already starting to gain from x factor.
I expect:
Fall/Winter 2012: X factor
Winter/Spring 2013: Recording the album, attend the Grammy's and Billboard Music Awards (preferably receive a billboard achievement award like MJ, JJ, Madonna, MC etc.)
Spring/Summer 2013: Final touches to the album, removed the conservatorship, marriage in May
Summer 2013: X factor auditions
Fall 2013: VMA attendance, release new single September, 2nd single in late November (a la Circus era)
Promo for magazines, radio interviews, GMA, AMA performance and other promo.
Tour in late spring/early summer in line with 3rd single.
X Factor won't be enough for her to compete against Adele though. She would have to go ALL out.
My point still stands.
I wasn't necessarily arguing your #1 point because I could care less about that. Sales wise she will do fine.
Adele isn't even going to release an album next year, so I don't know why you're so concerned. I would also say you're overestimating her. As well as slw84. Yes, she's coming from a Diamond album but that doesn't mean she's going to come debuting with 2 million copies. 21 has generated sales from its longevity, that's how she's always going to sell. Mariah, Madonna, etc. always came off huge multi-platinum successes back when albums actually sold, but never had blockbuster 1st weeks.
Trust, they will not let her release outside of the 4th quarter.

I agree. I think we all know by now "Femme Fatale" was a rush-job, generally. No promotion for "HIAM" for nearly 3 months. Late video premiere. "TTWE" rush-release. The mishap with not knowing for sure if Enrique would open the tour. The tour coming eight weeks after the non-hyped, non-promoted album came out. No magazines. No major appearances.
Things will be back on track with era 8. "FF" was the one time they fell wayside in securing some important promotions, so I don't think it would happen again.
They betta educate these lessors on Britney's wisdom.
I don't like how they tried to bait carly with the "awesome" comment to get her to make fun of Britney. Carly is smart. She didn't fall for it.
Now I want to find the information on the 99 c interview and give her the business.

She is known for #1 albums. Her team will make sure of it, trust.
If she releases in 4th quarter she can at least scan 1M which wouldn't be flop sales.
Even 755k isn't flop is underperforming. There's a difference.
I'm certain her team realizes that they didn't want to groupon deal as many tickets as they did and they could have made 30-40% more money on tour without overpricing and underpromoting.
They'll aim for another 100M grossing tour next time.
I thought her label said that she's releasing an album next year in fall?

Any hype that I had for Scream and Shout is now officially GONE tbh. I mean, not even a single release date?
Will.I.Am keeps releasing random songs instead of it as well.
I'm completely over it.
As long as you purchase the single as a Britney stan then that's cool. I was never hyped for the will.iam track but will still purchase even if it makes Big fat waste look sound like a masterpiece.

You mean Beatrice, and she wasn't baiting her. They asked them to go into detail the three words to describe Britney, and she was just reminding her.
In any event, Bitchtrice spilled some nice tea. I've always known Britney is not how she is on camera. She is just nervous in front of them now. We need some candid spy cams.

Wake up call? They know they can milk Britney and make loads of money by half assing through her career, same with Britney herself. The mishandled, unpromoted, half assed, underperforming mess that was Femme Fatale era still earned Britney $58million, the highest earning female artist of the year so I don't get where you're getting this wake up call since they earned loads last year thanks to the tour and endorsements.
Her next era is her last album under her contract with RCA, so it will be just seen as an album to put out so Britney can move labels, they won't put any effort into making it a success. RCA are worse than Jive for promoting their artists, especially alongside Britney who hates promotion so I honestly see her next album getting the same horrible promotion as Femme Fatale. They won't use X-Factor at all, if she signs onto another season.

Every album for the last 5 years has been "her last under contract". No one knows that. And the label doesn't set up promotions, management does. Femme Fatale was a mess because of Jive preparing to close and the artists merge. They just wanted Britney money generated in their last fiscal year.
As much as was accomplished, it was still underwhelming and Larry might be dusty but not stupid. They executed the greatest comeback of all time, they'll do having X Factor on their laps very well.
