yea, this year, X-Mas sales should be interesting to see how they will play into the new formula. in the past, most of the HDS #1s usually ended up topping the Hot 100 based on their sales alone (since they were massive), but it could go either way this year. Last year's top seller was SAIKI (417K or something) and went #1. not sure if this year's top seller will have more or less than that

I might be wrong, but I think Fergalicious got the high digital sales at Christmas, and missed #1. I think year it'll just depend on whether it's a new song that's just shot up in sales and is waiting for airplay to catch up, or if it's an old song hanging around with high airplay.

Yeah, it was pissing me off with people saying Diamonds was flopping. They did it with We Found Love aswell. People need to realize that even though Lady Gaga may shoot to #1 on iTunes straight away, the other 99% of artists usually peak 2-3 months after release.

On the other hand though we shouldn't get cocky about it lol.

Both gurls have done amazing without their videos being released (prior to today).

Others have come and gone out of the top ten after days of their release. That says a lot.
